For many people, their pictures are one of the most prized possessions and without them they would feel horrible. Take, for instance, a fire. If a fire were to break out in your home, after your family was safe, what are some of the few things that cannot be replaced? Photographs have been around for many years and thanks to the way technology has evolved, options are unlimited. There are online sites like Kodak.com and Picasa.com which are available to help you preserve those precious memories.
Once you have your photos on a memory stick or card, you can then download them onto your computer for everyone to see. Not only can you download them, you can do so many other things with them as well. Instead of having film negatives, most people now save their pictures on their hard drive. Not only should you save your pictures on the computer, you should also save them to a back up hard drive or CD.
Saving your pictures on your computer makes it really easy to keep track of them.
You also have the option to create different folders which will allow you to keep track of different events, dates or holidays. Don't have a digital camera? Not a problem! There are options which will allow you to convert all your pictures to be viewed on the computer as well. You could invest in a scanner that will also give you the option to scan negatives onto your computer. Once you have your photos loaded onto your computer, you can then share them with family and friends!
